The Story Behind Us…
My name is Samir Nohra.
I’m an industrial engineer, and I work in software and sales management. But more importantly, I used to be a pack-a-day smoker.
Smoking took over my life. It was affecting my health, my relationships, my confidence, even the way I smelled and felt around other people. I wasn’t happy, and I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
It wasn’t always like this.
Before smoking, I was a track and field athlete. Cigarettes entered my life through partying, alcohol, and the environment around me. At first, it felt social and harmless.
Then I moved and went through a much more difficult period in my life. That’s when smoking slowly became more frequent… until it turned into a daily habit, a pack a day.
I tried everything to quit. Nicotine replacements. Cold turkey. Willpower. I would quit for a while… and then relapse.
Nothing worked long term.
Until I came across a proven method that completely changed how I saw cigarettes and helped me deal with the problem at its core. By simply going through the steps, something shifted, at some point, I no longer wanted to smoke.
That change transformed my life.
I shared this method with my brother, who had also been a smoker for most of his life, and he experienced the same shift. That’s when we decided to start this community.
For the past six years, I’ve helped countless people quit smoking and change their lives using this method, combined with accountability and community support.
Today, we meet every week at Concordia University, completely for free, with a selective group of professionals. We go through the method together, keep each other accountable, ask questions, share openly, and support one another through real-life situations where people usually relapse.
This isn’t a magic pill. You’ll need to show up and put in some effort.
But when you follow a proven system, stay accountable, and surround yourself with people on the same journey, quitting smoking stops feeling like a constant fight.
Along the way, you’ll also be part of a high-quality community, people you can relate to, learn from, and even connect with beyond smoking.
If this resonates with you, you’ll feel at home here.
